Labradorite is one of my favorite stones. The flash and deep blue color always reminds me of a beautiful blue lake. Labradorite stones were first discovered in Canada. According to Energy Muse, "they believed that the stone was created from frozen fire, a result of the northern lights. With its pearly hues that shimmer in a range of iridescent blues and greens, the Labradorite crystal reminds us to keep it magical by linking us to the spirit world, a dimension where anything is possible."

This somewhat triangular shaped Labradorite stone is set in a unique setting that reminds me of a shield. I think my love of superhero movies and shows was channeled in making this piece! The setting and chain are made entirely from sterling silver and fine silver. Each part was hand fabricated by me in a multi-step process. The back plate is embossed sterling silver sheet metal. The fine silver bezel is framed by hammered sterling silver wire. Balled silver wire accents and bail give the piece a bit of an industrial flair. Te chain is hand fabricated from sterling silver wire and features a hook closure. The hook and rings make this necklace adjustable in length up to 21 1/4" long. The silver bead on the end of the chain makes it easy for you to feel where the end of the chain is when clasping it behind your neck.  Pendant measures 1 5/8" wide x 2 1/8" high including bail.

Your purchase includes a jewelry polishing cloth to keep your piece looking beautiful.

  • To maintain the beauty of your handmade jewelry I recommend not wearing it while exercising or showering.  Excess sweat and chemicals can quickly tarnish your piece.  Natural oxidation will occur over time on all Sterling Silver, Brass and Copper jewelry.  Wearing them often is the best way to keep them looking good.  Friction from everyday wear actually helps polish the metal.  If tarnish occurs, your piece can be cleaned with a jewelry polishing cloth.
