I love combining different materials, techniques and textures in my jewelry designs. This hand fabricated necklace has it all! It is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece with an industrial flair and a bold statement.
This necklace is 33" long and is made entirely from sterling silver, copper and African Turquoise. Techniques I used in making this necklace include fold forming, soldering, and wire wrapping. Each piece was hand fabricated by me. All pieces have been tumble polished for a smooth finish. A rich patina was applied to bring out all of the different textures.
The hook closure was made to be a decorative element visible on the front of the necklace when worn. The narrower 5 link section is meant to be worn at the back of the neck for maximum comfort.
An occasional polish with the cloth included with your purchase will keep your necklace looking beautiful for years to come.
Mixed Metal African Turquoise Necklace
To maintain the beauty of your handmade jewelry I recommend not wearing it while exercising or showering. Excess sweat and chemicals can quickly tarnish your piece. Natural oxidation will occur over time on all Sterling Silver, Brass and Copper jewelry. Wearing them often is the best way to keep them looking good. Friction from everyday wear actually helps polish the metal. If tarnish occurs, your piece can be cleaned with a jewelry polishing cloth.
